Pursuant to Section 72 of the Water Act 2016 which requires Wasreb to set license conditions and accredit water services providers, the Board’s objective is to promote commercial sustainability of the Water Works Development Agencies (WWDAs)and WSPs.

To be able to realize this, Wasreb will license WWDAs and WSPs based on specific technical and financial criteria. The goal of this is to ensure that the WSPs are capable of meeting routine operation and maintenance costs while putting in place proper management for the provision of water services.
