This reporting guidelines will enable Water Service Providers provide a certain quality of information in a standardized form to WASREB. The reporting guidelines majorly serves the following purposes:

• Provide a common framework for reporting;
• Establish standardized procedures;
• Harmonize information collection from WSPs;
• Set the rules for the use of the Water Regulation Information system (WARIS);
• Give the WSPs an orientation for the set-up of an internal Management Information System (MIS) where none exists; and
• Ensure compliance with the existing laws and regulations.

All Water Works Development Agencies (WWDAs) and Water Service Providers (WSPs) are obligated to report to:

• Their owner(s), (WWDAs for the WSPs and the government for the WWDAs)
• Their customers
• Other interested parties and
